Welcome to the Box Canyon Pictures Page
Box Canyon is a trail near Florence Arizona that states along a huge wash and then continues to the mouth of "Box Canyon". The canyon is a really short distance through and only takes about 20-30 minutes to drive through without stopping but it is the width that is challenging. This is also the entrance to other off-roading areas such as the Coke Ovens, Martinez Canyon and Woodpecker Trail.

On the 1st run to Box Canyon (December 12th
1998) I did not have the 4runner and I was a passenger in both Jeff's '95 YJ and Scott's
'93 YJ. This was a day trip exploring new ground. This was also one of the
sicknesses which I term "Off-road fever". Here is a group picture of Scott
Stace, Jeff Tadlock, Shasta, Cajun, and I during my 1st Box Canyon outing.
Some cool rock pictures of Jeff and Scott's
Jeeps on our trip to Box Canyon Arizona. (Shasta is spotting for Scott in the red
Jeep).
The next section of shots are for the 2nd Box Canyon trip on March 13 and 14th, this time driving my newly lifted 4Runner. On this run were also Jeff Tadlock in his newly "lifted and locked" '95 YJ, Scott's monstrous 4" lifted '93 YJ and Ian's stock Jeep. I also added a set of new BFG Mud Terrain tires 31' by 10.5. After camping the night of the 13th at the mouth of Box Canyon, on the 14th we headed to the Coke Ovens. After looking over the sites at the Coke Ovens we left via Battle Axe Road which regains pavement near Superior AZ. This was my second trip with 2 inches of lift and new BFG tires, it was a breeze compared to Chiva Falls.<grin>
